Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Workers Comp Claims Adjustor to manage and oversee workers' compensation claims from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of workers' compensation regulations and processes to ensure fair and efficient handling of claims. Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze workers' compensation claims to determine validity and eligibility for benefits.
- Investigate claims by interviewing claimants, witnesses, and medical professionals as necessary.
- Evaluate medical records and reports to assess the extent of injuries and related expenses.
- Negotiate settlements and communicate with claimants regarding claims status and decisions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to workers' compensation claims.
- Collaborate with employers, insurance carriers, and legal representatives to resolve claims disputes.
- Proven experience as a Claims Adjustor, preferably in workers' compensation.
- Strong knowledge of claims adjusting procedures and workers' compensation laws.
- Experience with self-insured claims is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Relevant certifications in claims adjusting or workers' compensation preferred.
