Fitness Supervisor

New Albany Country Club is now accepting applications for a Fitness Supervisor. This position provides leadership and direction to a team of fitness trainers, attendants, and pilates instructors. The job includes assisting the Fitness & Aquatics Director in developing, organizing, implementing, and overseeing fitness operations at the Club. This individual will coordinate with other staff to develop, implement, and maintain health and wellness programs, ensure that the facility is adequately staffed and equipped to meet safety and comfort standards and provide feedback and guidance to the fitness attendants, trainers, and pilates instructors. Compensation & Benefits The compensation for the Fitness Supervisor job is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for the position is between $45,000 to $48,000 per year plus commissions. Commissions are earned on personal training sessions. Benefits for the position include but are not limited to vacation, sick, and personal days. Health and dental insurance is available on the first day of employment; company-matched 401(k) is available after meeting certain requirements. Responsibilities

• Assist the Fitness and Aquatics Director with leading and managing fitness operations, including interviewing, hiring, and training staff, developing and implementing fitness programs, scheduling staff, ordering necessary equipment, and conducting fitness assessments.
• Provide guidance and direction to fitness trainers, fitness attendants, and pilates instructors to assess their performance
• Assist with marketing and budget administration and responsible for payroll processing.
• Coordinate staff activities and ensure that the facility is equipped and operated in accordance with the Club's safety and comfort standards
• Monitor the use of equipment and management of the fitness area
• Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols
• Manage, plan, and execute special events and programs
• Promote the fitness programs and ensure their utilization
• Act as Manager on Duty 2 -3 times a week.
• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher in Recreation and Sport Management related field.
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must have 2 to 3 years of personal training experience with a club, resort, fitness facility, or other hospitality experience.
• Must hold a certified Personal Trainer certification from ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA, NSCA, NCSF, NFPT, ISSA, or NCEP.
• Knowledge of gym equipment and exercise program.
• Ability to motivate and lead a team in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to comply with Club policies and procedures.
