Tool & Die Technician (Cincinnati)

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Tool & Die Technician for our client. This is responsible for supporting the production of rule dies and prototype components through the operation of CNC and metal bending equipment. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up and monitoring machinery, and ensuring product quality while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Operate CNC Hurco VM10 lathe and SDS Easy Bender metal bending machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to produce rule dies and prototype components.
• Set up equipment and machinery according to required specifications.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure consistent quality and adherence to standards.
• Inspect materials and finished products to verify quality and accuracy.
• Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Assist with additional technical or production tasks as assigned.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• Experience operating CNC machines and/or metal bending equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and safety standards
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and moving parts
• Requires adherence to safety standards and use of PPE
• Ability to stand and work for extended periods
• Ability to lift, push, and pull materials as needed
• Frequent use of hands for operating machinery and handling materials
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Communication skills.
