Medical Director Veterinarian – Toledo, OH
An established companion animal practice is seeking a Veterinary Medical Director to lead its clinical team while continuing to provide hands-on patient care. This opportunity blends clinical practice with leadership responsibilities in a collaborative environment focused on medical excellence, team development, and continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical and surgical care to patients
Lead and support the veterinary team in maintaining strong clinical standards
Mentor and develop associate veterinarians
Partner with hospital leadership to support operational and medical goals
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and positive team culture
Maintain accurate medical records and uphold regulatory compliance
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
Active veterinary license in good standing
Demonstrated leadership or interest in a leadership role
Strong clinical, communication, and mentorship skills
Commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care
