Planning Analytics Specialist

Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The Planning Analytics Specialist will play a key role in driving data driven decision making across the planning organization. This role combines advanced analytical skills, strong business acumen, and hands on expertise in Power BI, Python, and enterprise data environments. The ideal candidate excels at transforming complex datasets into clear insights, building scalable analytics solutions, and partnering with business stakeholders to influence measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Power BI dashboards, data models, and self‑service reporting solutions that deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership and operational teams.
• Create efficient and scalable DAX calculations, transformations, and data structures that support high‑performance reporting and reliable data consumption across the organization.
• Lead the fulfillment of both scheduled and ad hoc analytical requests, ensuring timely, accurate, and business‑aligned deliverables.
• Leverage existing and emerging tools to streamline workflows, eliminate manual effort, and enhance data quality.
• Partner closely with upstream and downstream stakeholders to clarify business needs, translate requirements into technical solutions, and align deliverables with strategic priorities.
• Proactively identify data quality issues, process inefficiencies, and capability gaps, and develop sustainable solutions that strengthen analytical accuracy and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query/M, data modeling, performance optimization).
• Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational or cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop).
• Experience with a programmatic statistical language such as Python or R (Python preferred).
• Demonstrated experience translating business needs into analytical solutions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain analytical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
