Data Analyst - Records Management

Kforce has a client in Columbus, OH that is seeking a Data Analyst - Records Management & Information Governance. This is a project-based opportunity with potential for conversion based on business needs and performance. Position Overview: We are seeking a Data Analyst with experience in Records Management and Information Governance to support a Legal organization. This role will partner closely with internal legal teams and outside counsel to ensure compliance with records management practices, data governance standards, and document management procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience managing legal data, supporting document workflows, and working within enterprise document management systems. Candidates with a paralegal background are encouraged to apply, as experience collaborating with outside counsel and in-house legal teams is highly valued. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support records management and information governance initiatives within the Legal organization
  • Partner with internal legal teams and outside counsel to ensure compliance with established data management and retention practices
  • Analyze, organize, and maintain legal documents and data repositories to support governance standards
  • Assist with document lifecycle management, including classification, retention, and disposition activities
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requirements related to legal data and records management
  • Collaborate with legal stakeholders, paralegals, attorneys, and business partners to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to records management activities
  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
  • Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus
  • Experience with information governance, records retention policies, and compliance practices
  • Experience supporting legal discovery, document review, or data classification initiatives
