Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Summary:

Receives and enters packing slips in QAD. Responsible for shipping paperwork for product sold to customers.

Essential Functions:

· Data entry for all packing slips and outgoing shipments.

· Complete all transactions, incoming and outgoing.

· Maintain correct inventory in the QAD system.

· Validate order filling, shipment of product and maintenance of inventory and shipping records.

· Serve as the liaison between departments regarding shipping and receiving activity.

· Verify correct dunnage containers per supplier by checking BOL and container tracker system.

· Participate in physical inventory.

· Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Position Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Must have proficient typing skills. Testing capacity at minimum of 7000 key strokes per hour with 90% accuracy. Demonstrated excellence in computer software including Microsoft Windows Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Will be required to pass a software test.

· Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of associates and management.

· Valid driver's license.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office.

· Self motivation with good leadership.

· Good organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

· Environmental conditions - May be exposed to moderate noise levels.

· Vocal Communication—must be able to give concise directions and exchange ideas in a dynamic, often noisy work environment.

· Hearing Perception—Ability to recognize information at normal spoken levels and/or ability to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or make fine distinctions in sound.

· Sensory Utilization—Prepare and analyze written or computer data.

· Physical Activities—required to stand, walk and sit. May occasionally reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
