Accounting Clerk

Precision Steel Services , a trusted steel supplier in the Midwest since 1974, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting and administrative processes, helping ensure accurate financial records and smooth internal operations.

This is an entry-level, in-person position well-suited for someone who values teamwork, accuracy, and continuous learning. Responsibilities

• Review accounting data for accuracy and completeness, assisting with the identification and correction of discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with basic inventory and operational tracking to support accurate internal reporting.
• Generate and issue accurate invoices to customers for services rendered and products sold.
• Maintain accurate financial records related to customer and vendor transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, operations, and accounting, to ensure information is properly documented and communicated.
• Prepare, compile, and maintain reports and statements related to invoice activities.
• Communicate professionally with employees and customers to resolve invoice inquiries and issues.
• Perform additional clerical, administrative, and accounting support tasks as assigned to support departmental needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in a similar role (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Proficiency with computers, including email, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.
