Engineering Technician

Job Title: Engineering Technician

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support product design. You will work under the direction of Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineers to perform prototyping, troubleshooting, or validation activities. You may also assist in regulatory agency testing and prepare for certifications such as UL, CSA, and TUV. Additionally, you will create manufacturing instructions and help debug production problems.

Responsibilities

• Support product design for standard or custom load banks.
• Work under the direction of Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineers for prototyping, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Assist design engineers in prototyping new product designs or revisions to load banks subassemblies.
• Participate in regulatory agency testing and preparation for certifications such as UL, CSA, and TUV.
• Prototype concepts using available materials.
• Assist in debugging production problems.
• Create manufacturing instructions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with power or electromechanical products
• Testing/troubleshooting experience and previous electrical wiring experience.
• Must have ability to read blue prints/schematics.
• Two-year degree preferred.

Preferences

• Experience with low and medium voltage power systems.
• Experience designing to UL, CSA, NEC, and other safety agency requirements.
• Experience working with sheet metal.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Valley View, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
