Shop Mechanic
Core Skills: Customer Service
Communication
Technology (MS 365 & industry/vendor specific)
Engine functions (including air, fuel, and spark)
General equipment & tool maintenance (including greasing & cleaning)
System principles (electrical, steering, braking, cooling, HVAC)
Diagnostic systems (including multi meter, compression, lead down & borescopes)
Math (angles, gaps, ratios, fractions & percentages)
Responsibilities:
Read, interpret & apply manufacturer operating manuals to accurately complete service, repairs & maintenance
Service, repair, & maintain equipment, tools, trailers & vehicles according to manufacturer & best practice specifications
Detect and diagnose issues with equipment &/or vehicles including trucks and small/large engine equipment
Schedule and conduct standard preventative inspections & maintenance on vehicles &/or equipment
Collaborate & coordinate with Production Managers, Shop Manager & vendors to order &/or maintain parts inventory
Collaborate & coordinate with Shop Manager to maintain an organized and safe working environment
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, manufacturer & best practice health & safety guidelines/laws
Support employee training on regular care, inspections & use of vehicles and equipment
Support vehicle and equipment needs for snow events including on call status
High school diploma
3-5 years service/repair/maintenance experience (minimum Bobcat, Ditch Witch, excavator)
Valid driver’s license with < 2 points
ASE certification (preferred)
Master Mechanic certification (preferred)
Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred) Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, walking
Navigating a variety of terrains
Working in all weather conditions
Lifting, pulling &/or pushing 50 pounds Benefits:
