Job Summary

The Custodian is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning & housekeeping of the Grow Ohio facility, at the direction of the Operations Manager. Duties include sweeping, vacuuming, moping, trash removal, laundry and dusting in a safe manner that meets company standards. Role will use cleaning chemicals to maintain equipment and other supplies levels. Position will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean all administrative offices.
• Gather items to be laundered. Wash/dry and return to the appropriate area.
• Sweep or vacuum and damp mop hard surface floors and vacuum carpeted floors.

• Dust work surfaces, other furniture, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces.
• Clean restrooms including toilets, urinals, partitions, sinks, counters, mirrors, floors, and walls.
• Replenish restroom dispensers with paper products and soap.
• Clean entrance glass and other interior glass.
• Respond positively and promptly to work orders.
• Work effectively with other team members.
• Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, door lock, time & attendance, and uniform policies.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaner and floor scrubber.
• Remove trash from containers, liners, and place trash in dumpsters at end of day.
• Report building and equipment maintenance issues to the manager.
• Maintain supply inventory and regularly submit inventory counts and requests to the Operations Manager.
• May be required to complete other duties or tasks based on needs of the business.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.
• The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.

• The ability to work in low light situations.

This is a full-time position with variable hours required. Our facility is open from 6 am to 8 pm seven days a week. Candidates with weekend availability is required.
