Sr Mgr - Distribution Operations

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr Mgr - Distribution Operations will oversee varying aspects of a well-run Distribution Operation on a National and/or Regional scope. These duties may include responsibility for driving success within Service Center Operations, Hub Operations, Fleet Requisition, Fleet Management, Fleet Analytics, Safety, Technology, Real-estate, and other areas vital to the health of a well-run distribution network. This position will ensure best-practices and strategy are driven uniformly across the network. This position will also ensure the safety of our associates and quality delivery to our customers are always a priority. Will use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals within established budgets and service parameters for the Region.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assure all aspects of assigned responsibilities within the network are driven to ensure all Human Resources, Department of Labor, Safety, and OSHA regulations are always enforced and adhered to at all times.
• Cultivate Matthews culture and values by promoting communication, teamwork, and respectful treatment of all individuals.
• Work with VP, Distribution and other distribution team members to implement projects to improve overall health of the distribution network.
• Develop a team environment that values diversity and uses various individual’s strengths to the benefit of the team.
• Assure Service Centers/Hubs if assigned are maintained and are operating within expectations.
• Analyze data to Identify and present new opportunities to leadership.
• Prepare detailed reports on assigned duties as needed to assure national effectiveness and compliance as needed.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of employees to ensure goals or objectives are accomplished. Mentors, coaches, trains and develops team.
• Additional duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
• Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
• 8+ years progressive warehouse leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years in a leadership role
• Periodic travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.

• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
