What You'll Do:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Blend Technician to support our chemical blending operations in Wickliffe, OH. In this role, your precision and commitment to safety will ensure the quality and consistency of experimental and finished chemical blends vital to our innovation and testing processes.
- Accurately blend chemical mixtures by following detailed blend card instructions.
- Measure raw materials to exact gram weights and verify blend data for accuracy.
- Package, label, and store finished blends for distribution to test labs.
- Follow safety protocols using SDS and waste tracking documents.
- Document issues and improvements electronically to support process optimization.
- Communicate proactively with team members and supervisors on blend progress and challenges.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Support safety initiatives including VPP and RCMS and participate in lab inspections.
Skills That Make a Difference:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable using computers and software like Excel, Word, and web-based systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mixers, scales, and lab equipment is preferred.
- Strong math skills, including decimals, fractions, and metric conversions.
- Ability to focus during repetitive tasks and maintain high accuracy.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and waste stream management.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, initiative, and adaptability.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to complete safety training and potentially join the Emergency Response Team.
Considered a Plus:
- 5 Years of chemical mixing experience or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Use of PPE required at all times.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
- Handle lab glassware with care and precision.
- Flexible scheduling may be required to meet production needs
