Salary: $12 - $14 Hourly DOE

About the Position

Nourish Early Learning is seeking caring, reliable substitutes to support our amazing educators when they are away for vacation, illness, or other needs. Substitutes play an important role in keeping our classrooms running smoothly, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and nurtured in our heart-forward, play-based environment.

As a substitute, you will step into various classrooms (ages infantschool age), follow established routines, and provide a warm, supportive presence for children and staff. This is a flexible role, ideal for individuals who love working with young children and want occasional or part-time hours.

Responsibilities

Substitute Teachers are responsible for (but not limited to):

• Supporting classroom routines and activities as directed by the lead teacher.
• Supervising children to ensure safety, kindness, and engagement.
• Assisting with play, learning experiences, and caregiving needs (snacks, handwashing, transitions, etc.).
• Maintaining a safe, welcoming, and clean classroom environment.
• Following state licensing and school policies, including child safety guidelines.
• Adhering with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources-i.e. ODJFS

• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for children to thrive

Requirements

The requirements for this position include:

• Experience working with young children preferred, but not required.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to different classroom environments.
• Strong communication and reliability.
  

Willingness to complete required trainings and clearances:

• FBI & BCII background checks
• CPR & First Aid (can be attained onsite)
• Workplace physical
