Administrative Assistant

Church of the Cross is seeking a dedicated and personable Administrative Assistant who feels called to support our ministry. As the "heart" of our front office, you will be the first point of contact for our congregation and the community. We are looking for someone who balances strong organizational skills with a genuine spirit of hospitality.

● Hospitality & Connection: Serve as a warm, welcoming presence for members and visitors. You are the "face" of the church, whether in person or over the phone.

● Ministry Support: Provide essential clerical and administrative backing to church staff and ministry leaders to ensure our programs succeed.

● Communication Hub: Draft and proofread church communications, ensuring clarity and a professional tone in all outgoing materials.

● Digital Stewardship: Manage our church database and digital outreach tools to keep our community informed and connected.

● Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

● Communication Skills: Exceptional English grammar, composition, and proofreading abilities.

● Detailed-Oriented: You take pride in accurate record-keeping and precise data entry.

● Adaptability: The ability to work independently on tasks while remaining a collaborative "team player" in a ministry environment.

● Preferred Skills: Experience with Church Windows (membership database) and Constant Contact is a significant plus, though we are willing to train the right person.

● Professionalism: A high level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

● Safety: Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and maintain a commitment to our Safe Sanctuary Policy.

● Spirit of Service: A desire to work in an environment where your daily tasks directly support the mission and ministry of the church.

Schedule & Compensation

· Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

· Salary Range: $30,000 – $37,000 (Based on experience)
