Essential Functions

• Executes assignments received in a timely and accurate fashion with the objective of minimizing downtime and maximizing quality, safety, and run time.
• Maintains equipment in a safe operating condition.

• Translate OEM material into meaningful standards for best results.

• Repairs breakdowns and completes operating adjustments as observed or requested.
• Performs equipment preventive maintenance on a regular basis.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by utilizing the CMMS system to receive work orders, issue parts to those work orders, and sign off work orders when complete.
• Participate in safety and GMP training sessions, and other company training sessions.
• Communicate and execute with production team line changeovers and line adjustments.
• Understanding and adherence to GMP, SOP and safety procedures always, including LOTO
• Support structured improvement projects or other projects assigned by leadership.
• using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices/equipment/machinery using hand and power tools.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Performs all duties autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Takes ownership of work performance and craftsmanship
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Care and maintenance of commonly used hand and power tools and equipment.
• A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required, including being a great team player.
• Safe use of hand and power tools.

• Ability to perform the job with a high level of safety awareness.

REQUIRED-

• 2-5 years of experience with the maintaining of fillers or comparable automation
• 2 years of high-speed production lines experience
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Equipment fault isolation and repair.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and diagrams.
• Basic computer & mathematical skills
• Experience with Norden/Zalkin/Kapsall

A Day in the Life of a Production/Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Technicians are relied upon to ensure that our production equipment operates at an optimal level throughout every shift. As a skilled professional, you'll also undertake the challenges of equipment installations, fabrication, and maintenance. Your keen attention to detail will assist your mechanical, electrical, and computer skills to ensure that jobs are done right the first time. Product filling and distribution is the core of our success. As part of our Maintenance Team, you will be part of that success. You will establish a solid work performance independently as well as under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager/Technician Lead to ensure client satisfaction.
