Position Overview: NCUS TEC is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager to oversee the successful implementation and management of a workforce development grant in partnership with Job and Family Services (JFS). This role is responsible for building strong employer partnerships, ensuring all grant deliverables and KPIs are met, and representing NCUS TEC at external events to promote collaboration and visibility. The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting to both NCUS TEC leadership and funders.
Key Responsibilities
Grant & Program Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the JFS grant to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational requirements.
- Monitor and track progress toward grant KPIs, including enrollment, training completion, employment placement, retention, and wage goals.
- Prepare and submit required reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) to NCUS TEC leadership and JFS.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to ensure grant success.
Employer & Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional employers to create sustainable pipelines for training-related employment opportunities.
- Collaborate with workforce boards, post-secondary partners, and community organizations to align services with workforce demand.
- Serve as a liaison between NCUS TEC, JFS, and employer partners to address workforce needs and support participant success.
Community Outreach & Representation
- Attend and represent NCUS TEC at workforce development, industry, and community events to promote programs and strengthen partnerships.
- Deliver presentations and participate in panels or meetings that highlight NCUS TEC’s work and program outcomes.
Reporting & Accountability
- Provide timely updates and performance reports to the program supervisor and senior leadership.
- Ensure accurate data entry, documentation, and compliance with NCUS TEC and JFS reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Admissions, Career Services, Instructional Staff) to ensure seamless program delivery and participant support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Workforce Development, Education, or related field, or
- 3–5 years of experience in workforce development, grant management, employer engagement, or related field.
- Proven ability to build and maintain employer and community partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of workforce trends, labor market information, and employer needs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and achieve performance outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, data management, and reporting systems.
Performance Indicators
- Achievement of all JFS grant KPIs (enrollment, placement, retention, wages, etc.).
- Growth and sustainability of employer partnerships.
- Accurate and timely reporting.
- Increased NCUS TEC visibility through participation in external events.
