Respiratory Therapist – Cleveland Fairhill
Location: Fairhill Campus – Cleveland, OH
Shift Options: Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $5,200/year

Join our Respiratory Therapy team at Fairhill, a high-acuity setting focused on rehab and post-lung transplant care. You'll float across all three floors—two of which are LTACH—with opportunities to deepen your clinical skills and make a real impact.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform assessments and treatments for patients with respiratory conditions including COPD, pneumonia, asthma, and cystic fibrosis.

• Manage ventilators (Trilogy, Vyaire transport), V60 BiPAP, intubations/extubations.

• Perform and monitor EKGs and ABGs (draw only; lab runs results).

• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy.

• Collaborate in emergency responses: Code Team & Rapid Response Team.

• Provide education to patients and families on proper use of equipment.

About the Unit:

• Patient Population: Adolescent to Geriatric

• Float Coverage: Across Fairhill’s 3 floors (top 2 = LTACH, 1st floor = rehab)

• RRT-to-Patient Ratio: Acuity-based, typically 7–9 airways per RT

What You’ll Need:

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Care program

• AHA BLS certification required on Day 1

• ACLS within 6 months of hire

• New grads encouraged to apply!

Preferred:

• 1+ year recent experience

• Confidence in intubation/extubation

• Interest in post-transplant and ventilator care

Shift Differentials:

• Night: +$3.00/hr (11 PM – 7 AM)

• Weekend: +$3.00/hr

• Preceptor: +$2.00/hr

Dress Code: Maroon/Burgundy scrubs (provided for full-time staff)
