We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the following opportunity.

Die Engineer

This on-site position will work with management, other engineers, and tooling manufacturers to make improvements to existing dies designs. Work with other die maintenance personnel in adding spare machined parts to inventory. Work with various metal stamping presses to achieve a high level of equipment efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Work with metal stamping and other departments to develop process plans and die creation.
• Work with tooling manufacturers to develop plans for die manufacturing and delivery.
• Review and apply best manufacturing processes.
• Make or assist in adjusting and/or repairs to new dies during trials that are being introduced into production. Assist in making die trial reports.
• Write requisitions. Write Operation Standards. Make shipping documents and filling out other company documents using Excel and other programs.
• Attend project meetings.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience in die trade is preferred.
• Basic machining and grinding fundamentals are preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of reverse engineering, 3D modeling.
• Working knowledge with Excel, Autocad, Solidworks, and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong organizational, communication and coordination skills.
• General knowledge of die construction, troubleshooting and repair.

Work Environment:

• Plant and office environment.
• Regularly exposed to dust, grease/oil, odors, noise, smoke, etc.

Notes:

· Fundamental knowledge of press operations is a plus.

F&P America Manufacturing offers competitive salaries and overtime, at straight-time, after 50 hours per week. Additional eligible pay includes bonus potential.
