Administrative Assistant/Receptionist
Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant/Front Desk Reception acts as a liaison with employees. This position ensures effective use of policies and procedures and positive employee relations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greets and assists families, staff and other visitors
- Scheduling appointments for the staff and clients, including communicating to staff when their schedule changes.
- Performs customer service functions answering front desk telephone
- Recording and tracking Client Lead Inquiries
- Compiling GHS attendance variance reports
- Maintains communication tools including:
- Answering main phone line
- Employee Contact Information
- Email and text groups
- Phone system directory
- Physical and electronic document maintenance including contact lists, personnel files, spreadsheet maintenance and other clerical functions.
- Assists in audits for your center.
- Onboards new staff including collecting documentation to ensure compliance is met.
- Takes inventory and submits needed supplies to the DOO
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- At least two years related experience preferred.
- High School diploma required, some college preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
