Beebe Healthcare is seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Cardiac Rehab Professional (RN, Respiratory Therapist or Exercise Physiologist) to support the manager and facilitate the effective daily operations of our Cardiac Rehabilitation program. This role is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring clinical excellence, and promoting optimal recovery outcomes for patients with cardiac conditions. The Lead coordinates staff activities, monitors performance, and assists in developing protocols that support patient safety, education, and wellness.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary cardiac team, the Lead Cardiac Rehab Professional fosters collaboration, delivers compassionate care, and supports continuous improvement within the program.
Responsibilities:- Demonstrates ability to plan and organize work flow to maximize productivity while maintaining quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
- Assists in the development of PDCA systems to implement and monitor process improvements. Takes action where appropriate.
- Ensures team members adhere to departmental policies/procedures, all quality, safety, and regulatory standards/requirements.
- Supports department by monitoring regulatory/accreditation compliance.
- Takes actions to address deficiencies as appropriate.
- Trains new and current team members and students.
- Ensures orientation checklists, competencies and annual mandatory education is completed and documented.
- Provides feedback to leadership about team members' performance, including need for coaching, counseling, disciplinary action.
- Assists leadership in completing initial and annual performance appraisals.
- Recommends/Assists with the preparation of departmental training and education, quality and safety programs and performance improvement projects.
- Acts as resource person for daily operations within the department.
- Knowledgeable about the specific aspects/technical details of the job, and readily shares knowledge with others.
- Participates in the interview process and provides feedback on candidates.
- Ability to perform in clinical and technical aspects of the Cardiac Rehab Department and Ornish Program.
- Comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular emergency procedures, nutrition, exercise physiology, pathophysiology behavior-modification strategies, health psychology and strategies for CAD risk-factor management.
- Selects equipment for program use with collaboration from the team.
- Accountable for maintenance, calibration and repair of equipment utilized.
- Maintains and schedules department staffing to assure safe and adequate coverage.
- Assigns duties to personnel related to their skills and capacities.
- Develops and implements instructional courses relating to Cardiac Rehab and Ornish Program for Education Department, staff, volunteers. and patients.
- Participates in educational programs for staff development.
- Assures maintenance of inventories, charts, records, statistics, reports and files as required.
- Works with the Director/manager assisting to provide operational and capital budget information to appropriate administrative personnel.
- Consults and advises in the planning, design, and space requirements needed for department.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 2 years cardiac rehab or Ornish Program experience.
Essential:
*Licensure as RN, Respiratory Therapy or education/experience as Exercise Physiologist
*Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification (AHA required)
*Advanced Cardiac Life Saving (ACLS) Certification
Education:Essential:
*Graduate of accredited Registered Nurse, Respiratory Therapy or Exercise Physiologist program
