Circleville FBC is prayerfully seeking God’s will for the next pastor to lead our church into the next season God has for it and asking potential candidates to do the same. Our previous pastor retired after serving for 18 years.

OVERVIEW OF PASTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Our pastor is responsible for leading the church to function as a New Testament Church. The pastor will lead the congregation, the ministry leaders and the church staff to perform their tasks. providing pastoral care, mentoring church staff and volunteers, and engaging with the community through outreach programs. The pastor’s duties include conducting the worship services of the church, administering the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

PASTOR QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 Timothy 3: 1-7
• Titus 1:7-9
• 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
• Galatians 5:22-26
• Ephesians 4:11-13

A pastor must have evidence of a clear call from God to the Pastoral Ministry and must strive to live in a way that reflects the teachings of Christ, avoiding any reproach that could negatively impact the Body of Christ. Such integrity is vital for leading effectively and nurturing the faith of others. Our pastor must be in agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as well as the Constitution and By-Laws of CFBC.

We are looking for a pastor who is grounded in scripture, approachable, and passionate about making disciples, strengthening families and reaching the unsaved which we believe can most readily be accomplished by relocating to Pickaway County.

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Circleville First Baptist Church is proud to be affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and support the Cooperative Program. In 2025 average attendance for Sunday School was 83 and Worship 102. Current ministries include: Women’s and Men’s Ministries, Celebrate Recovery, Celebration Station, Ignite Youth ministries, Kid’s Fest, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, Worship and Media Teams, and Servant Evangelism.

DEMOGRAPHICS OVERVIEW OF CIRCLEVILLE, OH

Circleville has a population of 14,000 – 14,500 and is the largest town in Pickaway County which has an approximate population of 58,000 and anticipated growth of 8% by 2050. Circleville proper currently has 600 single family homes planned and under construction.
