Shipping and Receiving Clerk 3rd Shift

We currently have an urgent opening for a 3rd Shift Shipping and Receiving Clerk to become a part of our diverse team in Van Wert, OH. The role of the Shipping/Receiving Clerk involves initiating and facilitating the containment of any discrepant materials or non-conforming parts upon receipt. Additionally, you will assist in and support corrective actions that employ root cause analysis, as well as devise and implement effective corrective measures.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

Employing forklifts to assist in the loading and unloading of trailers; executing repetitive bending and lifting tasks of up to 50 pounds; showcasing problem-solving skills and effective communication capabilities; demonstrating proficiency in computer applications such as SAP and MS Office (Excel); and possessing the ability to understand instructions from receivers, routers, and work orders. Serve as a backup for the Receiving Desk. Collaborate with all departments to foster an environment that encourages partnerships and facilitates problem resolution. Proactively initiate and support the containment of any discrepant materials or non-conforming parts that are to be received.

Adeptness in computer literacy is essential, which includes the proficient use of the internet and Microsoft Office applications like Excel and Word. Furthermore, a basic understanding or the willingness to learn SAP is necessary, particularly covering essential receiving functions such as processing receipts, creating routes, managing receivers and work orders, overseeing Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs), resolving discrepancies, and processing purchase orders (P.O.s).
