Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company , is urgently seeking a contract litigation paralegal for full-time, on-site work in Cleveland, OH.

Start: ASAP once interviewed and selected

Pay Rate: $45/hour

Location: Cleveland, OH, fully on site - with some travel to Columbus and Cincinnati for trials

Duration: open-ended, long-term

Job Description

• Document Management: Draft, file, and organize pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents.
• Legal Research: Conduct research on case law, statutes, and regulations to support strategy.
• Discovery: Manage the exchange of information, including drafting requests, reviewing documents, and summarizing depositions.
• Case Preparation: Organize evidence, prepare exhibits, and create trial binders for hearings and trials.
• Client & Witness Support: Interview clients and witnesses, gather information, and prepare them for proceedings.
• Trial Support: Assist attorneys during trials by managing exhibits, taking notes, and ensuring materials are accessible.
• Case Management: Monitor deadlines, maintain case files, and coordinate schedules.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of litigation paralegal experience
• Ethics: Must adhere to all ethical standards as outlined in the applicable Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Advanced proficiency in cite checking in accordance with The Bluebook .
• Strong working knowledge of document management systems and electronic court filing platforms (ECF and comparable systems).
• Communication & Writing: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to proofread for context, grammar, and accuracy.
• Organization: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and file management skills are essential.
