IT Specialist
Screen Machine Industries LLC is looking for a skilled IT Specialist to join our innovative team. The IT Specialist will ensure the security of our IT infrastructure and provide technical support to our staff. Working as part of a global IT team, the ideal candidate holds possesses strong technical skills across 365 services, servers, cloud platforms, networking, and cybersecurity. Your expertise in technology and dedication to solving issues will be pivotal in maintaining operational efficiency and supporting our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Install and configure new hardware and software, including operating systems and applications.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist in the management of IT projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
- Assist with cloud migrations, cost optimization, and integration with on-prem systems.
- Provide application-level support for MES, ERP, quality systems, and other manufacturing technologies.
- Train employees on new technologies and software applications.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and cybersecurity threats.
- Work with global network teams to implement changes, resolve outages, and optimize connectivity between sites.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as an IT Specialist or in a similar role (minimum 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
- Excellent understanding of computer network systems, security, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, cloud- based systems that underpin production, engineering and business operations. and various operating systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills across cultures and time zones. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Occasional travel to local and global sites is required.
- Participation in on-call or after-hours support rotation may be necessary.
