Member Services Representative
Location: Akron, OH 44305 – 100% On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Member Services Representative to provide personalized service to members by promptly addressing questions and concerns. This role works closely with management and other departments to ensure all member needs are met efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional assistance to members regarding enrollment, benefits, billing, claims, and authorizations via phone, email, or in person.
• Accurately document all member interactions and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Meet or exceed departmental standards for productivity and communication quality.
• Use internal sys-tems such as Amisys and Macess to manage member data.
• Protect confidential member and company information in compliance with regulations.
• Apply independent judgment and empathy to resolve member inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance service delivery.
• Prioritize and complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Some college coursework preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year in a similar role
• Customer service experience required, preferably in a call center or administrative support environment
• Medicare and/or health insurance experience strongly preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong customer service and phone-based support skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Windows systems and digital file management
• Ability to balance professionalism with empathy
• Proficient with standard office equipment (PC, headset, VPN, etc.)
• Ability to learn health insurance industry regulations and practices
• Excellent time management in a high-volume environment
• Commitment to privacy and confidentiality

Physical Requirements:

• Extended sitting, bending, stooping, stretching
• Lifting up to 20 pounds
• Manual dexterity for operating office equipment
