Production Lead

JOB SUMMARY

Production Lead is responsible for ensuring that all activities on a production line are carried out safely, efficiently and with strict adherence to quality standards. Coordinates all the production line activities, including set up, machine operation, and packaging of product.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 Coordinate and execute all production line activities, including clean outs, set up, machine operation, and packaging.
 Ensure that safety rules, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed in the production department.
 Direct, control, correct and motivate the members of their production line to achieve production goals.
 Possess in-depth knowledge of all production procedures and know how to use tools and operate machinery on the assigned production line.
 Operate the line equipment as needed.
 Direct and perform cleaning and sanitizing of containers, materials, supplies, and work areas using the proper cleaning procedures before, during and after production.
 Ensure proper labeling and identification of product. Record production information and maintain all required forms.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in Manufacturing, as a Lead and as a Machine Operator.

Required Abilities:
Able to operate, troubleshoot and perform adjustments on machines.
Leadership and good communication skills to lead different people with different abilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively handle problems in the production line assigned.

Physical Demands:
Be able to move or lift up to 50 lbs.
Be able to lift; fill; push; pull; walk; stand; crouch; reach overhead; and climb stairs.
