Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Avon, Ohio (44011) – Safe, family-oriented city with parks, shopping, dining, and easy access to Cleveland healthcare opportunities.
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1640 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• BLS Certification (required before first shift)
• ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
• Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience in Med/Surg, Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, or IDD preferred

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Develop individualized care plans and identify patient teaching needs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
• Communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team
• Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital guidelines and safety policies
• Contribute to a positive team environment and participate in unit team-building activities
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
