Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Hybrid SharePoint Developer that will support the AFIT Scientific Test & Analysis Techniques (STAT) Center of Excellence (CoE) by assessing, developing, and maintaining technical solutions that enhance and streamline the Product Flow Process (PFP). This role requires strong Power Platform expertise, experience working within U.S. Air Force network constraints, and the ability to translate user needs into reliable, secure, and scalable applications. The developer will collaborate closely with the STAT CoE team, office users, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet mission requirements and function seamlessly in a government environment.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Power Platform and SharePoint professional bringing hands‑on experience with government network environments, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to translate user needs into secure, efficient technical solutions. This person communicates well with stakeholders, works efficiently in a remote role, and can be on‑site at Wright‑Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH when needed .

Preference to local candidates (Dayton, Columbus, or Cincinnati area), as no travel, commuting, or relocation support is offered.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Assess Product Flow Process (PFP) implementation and recommend updates/changes

  • Full Power Platform app development
  • SharePoint Architecture
  • Workflows using Power Automate
  • Work within US Air Force network access and limitations

Work with office user team

  • Integrate with STAT CoE team to understand user needs and requirements
  • Translate needs into technical solutions
  • Identify and mitgate potential risks that would interrupt usage
  • Communicate decisions/timelines/software failures and successes
  • Demonstrate prototype front-end/back-end processes
  • Provide user training

Update/Develop Functions

  • Utilize existing lists/functions to update/rebuild the Product Flow Process
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing solutions
  • Automate workflow
  • Manage document tracking, access, metadata, lists
  • Design and develop custom applications
  • Streamline UI/UX and back-end processes
  • Develop dashboard and reports using Power BI

Test and validate solutions before implementation

  • Develop test plans
  • Troubleshoot independently
  • Develop new functions and workflows
  • Utilize users for testing and feedback

Create long-term support and maintenance documentation

  • Document workflows clearly
  • Create maintenance plans and documentation for non-developers


Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with PowerApps, SharePoint Online, Lists, Libraries, Permissions, Power Automate
  • Previous experience with government SharePoint restrictions/firewalls
  • US Citizen
  • Secret clearance or the ability to obtain

SharePoint Developer II

2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.




SharePoint Developer III

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.




SharePoint Developer IV

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.




SharePoint Developer V

15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

  • SPFx (SharePoint Framework)
  • Secret clearance at time of consideration
