Starting Point invites YOU to apply for the Billie Osborne-Fears Fellowship, a prestigious two-year leadership program designed to develop emerging professionals dedicated to children, families, and community impact.

About the Fellowship

What You’ll Gain:

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $55,000 annual salary

  • Paid time off plus two organizational closures (one in summer, one in winter)
  • Flexible scheduling with occasional evening/weekend events

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Projects & Leadership: Support at least two agency-wide initiatives per year and represent Starting Point at community events.
  • Professional Growth: Maintain a 3.0 GPA while completing the Nonprofit Management Certificate and attend at least six leadership trainings annually.
  • Mentorship: Participate in monthly mentorship check-ins and conduct informational interviews with nonprofit leaders.
  • Legacy Engagement: Share your Fellowship outcomes annually with the Starting Point Board of Directors or Billie Osborne-Fears Committee.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong written/verbal communication
  • Collaborative, team-focused style
  • Proficiency in MS Office and cloud-based databases
  • Values: Commitment to equity, high-quality education, and systemic change.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Successful Ohio Bureau Criminal Background Check
  • Flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. for event setup
