Summary Hand racks fasteners into pre-punched trays to prepare for painting by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read order ticket to identify part number and quantity of racks needed.
- Locate parts that have been pulled for this order – or contact warehouse to get parts.
- Fill rack with fasteners.
- Load full rack into Kanban cart along with ticket.
- Coordinate the work of other rackers to ensure efficient production.
- Make packaging labels when needed.
- Use Syspro system to record issue of material and job completion.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Consistently meets daily production goals.
- Records production on hourly basis.
- Consistently follows company policies relating to job performance, company values, policies, safety and 5S.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift 20 pounds above the shoulder. The employee must occasionally push/pull a cart with 6” casters that weighs up to 1800 pounds.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
