ER RN Job Details – Ashtabula, OH

• Location: Ashtabula, OH 44004 (Northeast Ohio)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, 13-week contract
• Start Date: October 14, 2025
• End Date: January 13, 2026
• Shifts: Night (7:00pm – 7:30am) or Mid (3:00pm – 3:30am), 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$1960
• Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 24-bed ED, average 80 patient visits daily

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state RN license (required for Ohio nursing jobs)
• Minimum 18 months of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
• Two supervisory references in emergency nursing specialty
• Successful background check and drug screening (tobacco-free facility)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
• Perform triage, assessment, and stabilization for acute and complex medical conditions
• Administer emergency medications and interventions for trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and behavioral emergencies
• Document and coordinate patient care using Epic electronic medical records
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and clinical standards
• Participate in procedural sedation, ventilator management, and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
