Machine Operators

*Objectives/Summary of Position: *

The primary goal of this position is operation of processing equipment the form ground pork, beef, and chicken products.

Workdays: Monday -- Friday (Saturdays when needed)

Hours: 40 hours/week (average)

Shift: 7:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m. (End times vary due to production demands)

Wage: $17.00 per hour

*Training Needed Annually: *

• HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
• SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures)
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
• Food Security and Food Safety
• Allergen Management

*Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions of The Job: *

• Observe operation of equipment to ensure continuity of flow, safety, and efficient operation and to detect malfunctions
• Examine materials, ingredients, or products, visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards
• Move controls to start, stop, or adjust machinery and equipment that forms product
• Clean, adjust, and maintain equipment using hand tools
• Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products at specified intervals to ensure conformance to requirements
• Operate production equipment
• Clean production equipment
• Operate equipment in a safe manner
• Wear all required PPE
• Maintain a good attitude toward all fellow team members
• Maintain an active interest in improving performance level
• Actively maintain high personal sanitary measures by following the established guidelines
• Maintain a good attendance record and report to work on time
• Perform related duties as apparent or assigned
• Demonstrate an active interest and positive safety attitude
• Demonstrate an active interest in producing quality products/services
• Report any safety, mechanical, or other problems occurring in the production line

*Physical Requirements: *

• Stand for extended periods of time
• Twist, bend, and carry. Shovel and lift 40 pounds repeatedly
• Climbing, balancing, stooping, handling materials
