We’re hiring a hands-on Machine Shop Supervisor to lead first‑shift operations, supporting 10–15 team members across two shifts . This role is built for a leader who stays grounded in the middle of chaos, leads from the floor, and believes strong teams are built through presence, clarity, and accountability .

What You’ll Own

• Daily execution of machine shop operations with a visible, consistent floor presence
• Short‑term planning and real‑time adjustment using work orders and routings
• Team performance across safety, quality, delivery, and morale
• Coaching, development, and accountability conversations — handled directly and professionally
• Calm, solution‑focused leadership when plans change or pressure rises
• Ownership of problems through closure — not hand‑offs

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
• Manual machining background strongly preferred
• Proven ability to lead through pressure, ambiguity, and shifting priorities
• Experience working with structured work orders and routings
• Direct, professional, and consistent leadership style
• Comfortable holding standards while supporting your team
