About The Position

Wellhart is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Ohio. This 60-day assignment begins 08/01/2025, offering 12-hour shifts covering both day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) schedules. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with a wide range of emergency medicine duties in a dynamic hospital setting. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a skilled physician to contribute to a busy emergency department while enjoying the flexibility of locum work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a fast-paced environment
• Manage a diverse range of emergency cases and acuity levels
• Perform various emergency medicine procedures as needed
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using the Epic system
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed

Additional Information:

• Ohio medical license required
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred
• Strong clinical skills and experience in emergency medicine
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including days and nights
