Database Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a Database Administrator for a Contract with a client in Cincinnati, OH(Hybrid). Candidates must have strong Oracle EBS and Azure database administration expertise to be considered for this role.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Database Administrator Job Responsibilities Include

• Managing enterprise‑scale Oracle EBS environments by installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and optimizing databases across multiple instances.
• Designing and administering high‑availability solutions using RAC, Dataguard, clustering, mirroring, and disaster‑recovery strategies including switchover and failover testing.
• Overseeing Azure cloud database operations, including resource deployment, automation, monitoring, geo‑replication, and implementing secure, scalable cloud architectures.
• Providing 24/7 production support with performance tuning, RCA preparation, issue troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring through Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Managing database lifecycle activities such as migrations, cloning, schema versioning, CI/CD integration, and SOP documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with data governance standards while leveraging automation tools and advanced techniques to detect and resolve performance or stability issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Oracle Database Administration and Oracle EBS across enterprise environments.
• Client requires strong expertise in Azure cloud administration, including automation, monitoring, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Client requires advanced Oracle EBS administration skills with proven capability in RAC, Dataguard, performance tuning, and complex issue troubleshooting.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
