Tax Analyst
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tax Analyst in Columbus, OH. Summary: This Personal Property Tax Analyst position is a role in which the primary responsibilities would entail preparation of property tax returns utilizing software, spreadsheets, rate tables, systems and customized reporting; review and analysis of property tax assessment notices to minimize taxes and audit risk; and prepare tax bills for payment. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file annual personal property tax returns for various entities across the firm
- Analyze and submit associated personal property tax bills for payment
- Review and analyze asset listings and lien date transaction data to ensure that assets are properly classified
- File protests with the taxing jurisdiction as needed
- Research, analyze and resolve general ledger account reconciliations
- Ensure that all activities are completed prior to state imposed deadlines
- Extract property tax data from legacy systems utilizing ad hoc reporting tools
- Analyze property tax data from legacy systems to identify issues and trends
