Production Technician

The Production Staff position is a skilled production technician. In this role, the associate conducts periodic inspections of the equipment and identifies defects that may be related to the equipment, troubleshoots and resolves equipment problems, and repairs, assists maintenance with preventative maintenance of the equipment, provides input, and may assist with process improvements. The production staff position is the front line for mechanical issues prior to calling maintenance.

Responsibilities:

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Educational & Experience Requirements/Preferences:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions and other directives or documents as job duties require (testing or other aptitude verification may be required).

• Experience: 2-5 years of manufacturing experience working directly with equipment.

• In lieu of the above, any combination of formal education, experience, and training providing the knowledge and ability to read, write, and perform job duties at a level required for successful job performance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger or feel objects, reach with arms and hands

• Must be able to lift and move 10 – 30 pounds on a periodic basis

• Must be able to use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, distance vision, depth perception, and focus ability for examining product

• Must be able to work in heat and noise

• Must have good eye-hand coordination

• Must be able to work on feet for an 8 – 12 hour workday on any shift

• May be exposed to dust, fumes, moving objects/machinery, hazardous materials
