Overview:

We are a salvage yard located in West Salem, OH and we are seeking a Shop Laborer to join our team! we are a small family owned/oriented company who takes pride in our employees. Duties:

• Effectively using heavy and light equipment, depending on assignment.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and heavy machinery.
• Work on semi trucks, draining oil, taking off tires, etc.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks.
• Perform general maintenance of shop equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Previous Deisel mechanic experience preferred.
• Must be willing to climb under trucks and get dirty.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Nice to have Skills:

• Heavy truck mechanical skills
• Class A CDL
