Picking Room Supervisor – First Processing (Night Shift)

Primary Purpose:

Ensures the successful execution of Picking Room operations during the night shift by aligning people, processes, and resources to meet established goals for quality, efficiency, yield, and safety. Provides hands‑on leadership, maintains operational consistency, and supports continuous improvement within First Processing.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensures daily production requirements are met by maintaining proper staffing levels, coordinating workflow, and monitoring line performance.
• Follows and enforces all SOPs and Good Production Practices (GPPs) to maintain compliance and operational consistency within the Picking Room.
• Monitors product quality and picking/packaging specifications , identifying defects and implementing corrective actions to support continuous improvement.
• Ensures compliance with food safety regulations , including HACCP requirements, sanitation standards, and corrective actions for deviations.
• Drives performance toward key department metrics , including BMPH, Cost/lb., PPMH, and A‑Grade %.
• Follows all HR and Safety policies , including timely completion of Kronos and Oracle HCM tasks, safety training, and required certifications.
• Supports employee development and accountability through coaching, communication, and consistent application of company policies.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in lieu of degree; previous poultry or food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) .
