Vertical Access, Shoring & Hoisting Operations

The Tradesmen Group LLC (TTG) and Tradesmen Crane & Equipment LLC (TCE) are seeking a visionary and experienced executive leader to oversee and expand our vertical access, shoring, and hoisting operations across the eastern United States. This newly created strategic role will serve both TTG and TCE, driving operational excellence and business development in support of our award-winning restoration and equipment services.

Position Overview:

This executive role will lead TTG’s self-performed scaffold, shoring, and hoisting operations on multi-trade restoration projects, and oversee third-party services for TCE in Central Ohio , Nashville , and Washington, DC , with plans for expansion into additional markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and manage vertical access operations across TTG and TCE, including project execution, safety, logistics, and client satisfaction
• Lead business development efforts, including proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and revenue growth strategies
• Oversee yard, shop, warehouse, and equipment operations at headquarters and satellite locations
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans
• Coordinate with HR, finance, and executive leadership on recruitment, payroll, insurance, and operational planning
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Support marketing, PR, and internal communications initiatives
• Lead engineering and design development for new projects
• Drive strategic planning for market expansion, equipment utilization, and organizational growth

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in scaffold, shoring, and hoisting operations
• SAIA Competent Person certification and OSHA 30 required
• Strong knowledge of construction logistics, DOT regulations, craning, and hoisting
• Proficiency in cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting
• Experience with CPM scheduling and project management software (e.g., MS Project)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Office365)
• Willingness to travel and undergo background check and drug screening
