We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Cleveland, OH manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in manufacturing, and a background in lean manufacturing and process improvement . This role requires managing a unionized workforce while ensuring production goals, safety, and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Operations Management:

• Supervise daily manufacturing operations , ensuring production schedules, quality standards, and efficiency targets are met.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, downtime, scrap rates, and efficiency.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, quality, and logistics, to resolve production challenges.

• Ensure proper utilization of equipment, materials, and labor to maximize productivity.

Team Leadership & Employee Relations:

• Lead and motivate a team of production employees, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

• Effectively manage a unionized workforce , ensuring adherence to collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).

• Address performance issues, provide coaching and feedback, and assist with employee development.

• Maintain positive labor relations by promoting open communication and problem-solving.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing:

• Support and drive lean manufacturing principles , including 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction initiatives .

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.

• Participate in problem-solving activities, using root cause analysis to address recurring production issues.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations .

• Promote a safety-first culture , ensuring all employees follow proper procedures and PPE requirements.

• Conduct safety training and audits to proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization .

• Experience working in a unionized facility and understanding labor relations.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment .

• Proficiency in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office .

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred .
