Radiation Therapist Job Details

• Location: Sylvania, OH 43560 (Toledo area – Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Hospital – Radiation Oncology (Adult Outpatient)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 22, 2025 – December 22, 2025)
• Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:30 – 16:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Visits per Day: 8
• Unit: Radiation Oncology
• Scrub Color: Dark Gray
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2220 - $2280

Radiation Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (including at least 1 year in acute hospital setting)
• Valid ARRT (Radiation Therapy) certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Active Ohio state license required
• Experience with Epic and ARIA charting systems preferred
• 2 professional references from within the last 24 months
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float to other hospital units or facilities as needed
• No local travelers (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Sylvania, OH)

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments: SRS, SBRT, IGRT, IMRT, Electron, and Conventional therapies
• Perform pre-treatment procedures: CT simulation, tumor localization, custom molds, and shields
• Operate advanced radiation oncology equipment: Varian TrueBeam, TrueBeam Edge, Trilogy, and Eclipse (Varian) planning systems
• Document patient care accurately using ARIA and Epic EMR systems
• Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in emergency cases and specialty treatments (e.g., respiratory gating, stereotactic radiosurgery, benign brain tumors, gynecomastia, prophylactic treatments)
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
