Job Description

Located in Marion Ohio, Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Transportation Fleet Supervisor to lead with innovation and drive best practices within our window manufacturing facility. This role directly oversees a private fleet of 40+ local drivers and supports a network of more than 650 power units across the United States. The position works closely with local operations to enhance safety, streamline logistics, reduce costs, and improve the overall customer experience.

The Transportation Fleet Supervisor will play a critical role in developing and implementing forward-thinking fleet management concepts while supporting daily operational needs. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position combines strategy and hands-on leadership to achieve meaningful results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce fleet safety standards, policies, and programs to create a culture of safe and compliant operation
  • Work collaboratively with site managers, supervisors, and team members to ensure fleet compliance
  • Oversee procurement and movement of fleet assets across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including US DOT requirements
  • Manage operational and financial data collection for reporting and regulatory filings
  • Lead projects focused on designing and implementing future logistics network strategies
  • Develop solutions to improve operational efficiency and ensure successful deployment with operations teams
  • Address customer challenges by implementing innovative logistics solutions and identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships
  • Improve fleet performance through cooperative safety programs, training, and proactive initiatives
  • Actively participate in driver retention and recruitment efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources
  • Support other fleet initiatives and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least five years of experience in fleet safety, compliance, with a minimum of two years in a leadership role
  • Experience in fleet management, distribution, cross-docking, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of transportation modes, materials management, and inventory control
  • Proven ability to analyze business operations and implement strategic improvements
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying solutions
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and driving continuous improvement
  • Resilient and adaptable with a positive and energetic attitude
