8th Grade Science Teacher – York Middle School

York Public Schools is accepting applications for an 8th Grade Science Teacher at York Middle School . We are seeking a passionate, student-centered educator who is committed to engaging students in scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
Position Details:
- Full-time, certified teaching position (Grade 8)
- Start Date: August 2026

Teaching Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering engaging instruction aligned to science standards
- Creating hands-on learning experiences and labs
- Using data to guide instruction and support student growth
- Collaborating with grade-level and content-area teams
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Coaching Opportunities Available:
- Head Boys Basketball
- Assistant Cross Country
Qualifications:
- Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain) with appropriate endorsement
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and families
- Coaching experience preferred for coaching roles but not required
