Forklift Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Cleveland, OH. This role is ideal for a dependable warehouse professional with strong forklift skills, RF scanner experience, and the ability to support a fast-paced production environment.

The Forklift Operator will help keep materials moving safely and efficiently between the warehouse and production floor. Key Responsibilities

- Respond to production team requests by delivering goods from the warehouse to the production floor.
- Operate forklift equipment to move, stage, and organize materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Consolidate warehouse stock and support accurate material placement.
- Identify empty Kanban areas and replenish stock as needed.
- Use RF scanner equipment to track inventory movement and maintain workflow accuracy.
- Maintain general housekeeping and support a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay Rate: $20 to $22 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-hire, 3-month contract with possible extension.
- Location: Cleveland, OH 44128.
- Shift: 1st shift, 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Shift: 3rd shift, 11 PM to 7 AM.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Move materials between warehouse and production areas to support daily production needs.
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Use RF scanner technology to support accurate inventory handling and material movement.
- Replenish stock, consolidate materials, and maintain organized warehouse flow.

- 3 to 5 years of forklift operating experience preferred.
- Experience operating stand-up electric forklifts is strongly preferred.
- Experienced use of RF scanners required.
- Ability to bend, turn, stand, lift, and walk consistently for a full shift.
- Strong reading comprehension skills and ability to follow warehouse instructions accurately.
- Basic arithmetic skills for counting, tracking, and verifying materials.
- Self-driven work style with the ability to work independently.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, attendance, and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting production teams in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Kanban replenishment or similar inventory control processes.
- Strong housekeeping habits and attention to organized material flow.
