Job Description: **Role Summary/Purpose:** The AVP Finance Governance Issue Management will be part of a new first line of defense centralized team who are responsible for driving compliance with the Governance standards across the Finance organization which will include (but not limited to) Issues & Incident Management, Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Change Management and a variety of Monitoring and Reporting on risk and governance activities and results. Additionally, the successful candidate will be helping to drive the stand up of the new centralized operating model across Finance and supporting our Finance colleagues on that journey. The successful candidate for this role is an individual with strong verbal and written communication skills with individuals of various levels in the organization, skilled attention to detail, have the ability to manage through influence and be an expert multi-tasker. **_Our Way of Working_** **_We're proud to offer you choice and flexibility. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events._** **Essential Responsibilities:** + This role has primary responsibility for supporting the Issue Management activities within Finance, delivering a centralized and standardized approach by driving adherence, providing expertise, and supporting stakeholders on issues, incidents, and customer remediation activities. + Aspects of Issue Management deliverables will include but are not limited to the delivery of process improvements; standardizing the documentation, challenging root cause, coordinating issue administration, supporting and project managing cross functional discussions and complex issues, data and trend analysis, assessing the impact of cross functional issues on Finance, the reporting of emerging issues, open issues, trend analysis, status and preparing materials for forums/committees. + This individual will be responsible for coordinating issue versus incident calls and leading discussions on ownership and risk mitigation across various stakeholders. + This individual will be a central contact for assisting Finance stakeholders in navigating tools and systems used in Issue Management, Incidents and Customer Remediation. + This individual will partner with the Customer Remediation center of excellence and Issue Owners to facilitate and ensure momentum on associated Customer Remediation activities, status monitoring, escalation where needed and reporting. + This individual will support Finance across various Committees, forums and working groups alongside functional Issue Management peers. + Aspects of Monitoring and Reporting will include supporting and facilitating Finance to maintain relevant metrics to monitor progress, issue themes, impacted processes and connectivity to other governance programs. + The role will work with matrixed Governance representatives across Finance and be an individual contributor. + The role will overall support Finance to drive effective risk identification and management of compliance or operational risks and connect Governance programs outputs within Finance for ensuring that Risk Assessments and Monitoring & Reporting is complete. + Establish effective relationships with all operational areas including, but not limited to Compliance, Operational Risk, Cross functional 1st Line Governance teams, Internal Audit, etc. at the leadership level and other supporting levels. + Work directly with 1st Line Governance counterparts (Technology & Operations, Growth, Sales, Credit, & Growth etc.) in coordination on Issue Management, Incidents and Customer Remediation. + Support the development of Finance specific policy, procedures, job-aids and training as it pertains to the evolution of the team and activities. + Support the delivery of webinars and training that build understanding and delivery within the Finance Function. + Given the establishment of the team and operating model, additional responsibilities may include assisting with other governance responsibilities (not limited to) RCSA & Surveillance testing build out, Model, Non-Model Tool oversight, Policies and Procedures management, and monitoring and reporting. **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related business field or in lieu of degree, 8 years equivalent experience in a regulated Financial Services organization or External/Internal Audit within Financial Services practice + 4+ years of experience in Governance, Risk and Control role which included Issue Management responsibilities, RCSA and Monitoring and Reporting activities (can be concurrent) + Internal or External Audit and/or first line risk and control experience **Desired Characteristics:** + Strong attention to detail and superior writing and editing experience and skills + Ability to probe, understand how processes and accounting operate and linkage to root cause and required solutions + Ability to drive results independently and prioritize multiple workstreams + Strong presentation and confidence in leading group meetings + Demonstrated great verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally + Understanding of Finance systems & processes + Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies + Direct experience in a role requiring communicating with middle management levels in a regulated environment + Strong attention to detail, analytically minded, excellent documentation skills and effective multi-tasker + Ability to manage multiple competing initiatives, drive process improvements and deliver results within deadlines with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail **Grade/Level: 11** The salary range for this position is **90,000.00 - 155,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle. **Eligibility Requirements:** + You must be 18 years or older + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
