Polymer Process Engineer
- 30 - 50% Perform research and testing procedures including generating professional technical reports and providing data analysis for SPSPE personnel and for outside contracts.
- 10 - 20% Maintain Polymer processing equipment
- 30 - 50% Train students in polymer processing and polymer testing
Additional Position Information:
Education:
Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree with preference for a Graduate Degree.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of 4 years of working in the field of Polymer Processing. Good communication skills and proper knowledge in the use and maintenance of polymer processing and polymer testing equipment.
Leadership:
No direct leadership
Physical Requirements:
Considerable physical exertion required involving bending, stooping, crawling, climbing, lifting or carrying heavy items (over 50 lbs. - 75 lbs.) and periodically (up to 1/3 of time) working in difficult or awkward positions.
Working Conditions:
Standard working environment with possible minor inconveniences due to occasional noise, crowded working conditions and/or minor heating/cooling or ventilation problems. Near continuous use (>70% of the time) of a video display terminal.
