Shop Laborer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Shop Laborers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a shop setting. Employees in this role will be tasked with general labor duties, cleaning work areas, utilizing hand and power tools, sanding/grinding materials, and operating machinery once fully trained. Candidates with experience in these areas are a great fit for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Utilize hand and power tools efficiently.
• Sand and grind materials as required.
• Operate machinery once training is complete.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience as a laborer or production worker in a shop setting.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Experience in deburring and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience sanding/grinding steel components.
• Ability to operate various shop machinery.
• Capability to read a shop blueprint.

Work Environment

The position is based in a large shop/manufacturing environment. The facility is non-climate controlled, with dock doors open and fans to control temperature during warmer seasons. The job is on the 1st shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available starting at 6 AM. Compensation is decided based on the candidate's needs and years of experience in the field.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Galion, OH.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr.
