Davidson is seeking a Product Owner in Dayton, Ohio to support the SCALE (Supply Chain Analytics and Logistics Environment) development program. SCALE is a data-driven analytics platform that integrates procurement, logistics, and forecasting operations to enable predictive and prescriptive decision-making for the Department of Defense. The Product Owner will work alongside the Scrum Master and cross-functional Agile team, including software developers, data engineers, analysts, and cybersecurity specialists, to define, prioritize, and deliver high-value capabilities for the SCALE platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring the team's output aligns with the program's vision, customer needs, and operational priorities while maintaining transparency and collaboration across all stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
As Product Owner, you will serve as the bridge between customers, stakeholders, and the development team, ensuring that SCALE's analytics and software features are prioritized, well-defined, and deliver measurable value. This includes:
•Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for assigned SCALE modules (data integration, analytics, or visualizations)
•Serve as the voice of the customer, translating operational and mission needs into clear product requirements and user stories.
•Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
•Collaborate closely with the Scrum Master to ensure smooth sprint execution, backlog readiness, and sprint goal alignment.
•Work with developers and data engineers to validate that data pipelines, APIs, and Power BI Dashboards meet user needs and technical standards.
•Coordinate with the cybersecurity engineer to ensure compliance and security controls are incorporated into development priorities.
•Define and validate acceptance criteria, ensuring deliverables meet functional and performance expectations.
•Communicate progress, risk, and trade-offs effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
•Contribute to release planning, stakeholder demos, and customer engagement sessions to drive adoption and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
•5-10 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar Agile leadership role.
•Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams delivering data-centric or analytics-driven software.
•Strong familiarity with Power BI, dashboarding workflows, or business intelligence systems.
•Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
•Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Competencies:
•Experience supporting DOD programs or working in government contracting environments.
•Demonstrated experience with lifecycle management of large defense/related programs
•Understanding of data modeling, APIs, and database-driven applications.
•Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms (AWS, Azure) and DevSecOps practices.
•Familiarity with supply-chain concepts, processes and tools.
•Exposure to RMF/ATO processes and collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
•Experience planning and delivering Power BI or analytics products to end users.
Clearance:
•Must currently hold an active DOD Secret security clearance (ability to obtain TS)
